Three CEEQUAL Awards presented at CIVILS 2009 ‘Civilisation
Congress’
9 December 2009
Three
civil engineering projects, the
Eaves Green Link Road, Sandy
Lane Relief Road and the London
Kings Cross Redevelopment (Package 4) project,
were presented with CEEQUAL Awards at CIVILS 2009, Earl’s
Court 2, in recognition of their commitment to environmental
quality and sustainability in specification, design
and construction.
The prestigious Awards were presented to the respective
project teams by Jean Venables OBE FREng, Immediate
Past President of the ICE, after a short introduction
to CEEQUAL by CEO Roger Venables and CEEQUAL Chairman
Eric Hughes.
The CEEQUAL Awards presentation took place at the
Civilisation Congress forum, on Thursday 26th November,
and was followed by a drinks reception at the adjacent
CEEQUAL stand.
CEEQUAL Chairman Eric Hughes said: “We are very
pleased with the increasing recognition the CEEQUAL
scheme enjoys within the industry. The steady rise in
project applications – especially in the face
of the difficult year the construction industry on the
whole has had – is an indication of the importance
clients, designers and contractors now place on environmental
and sustainability performance.”
