Assessor Training Courses
To become a CEEQUAL Assessor, whether for UK & Ireland
Project, for International Projects or for CEEQUAL for Term
Contracts, a member of a project or contract team needs to
have trained to become an Assessor for the form of CEEQUAL
being used. There are two main 2-day courses for those new
to CEEQUAL – on CEEQUAL for Projects, and on CEEQUAL
for Term Contracts.
For existing Projects Assessors who wish to use CEEQUAL for
Term Contracts, 1-day extension courses have been arranged.
Extension courses for Term Contracts Assessors who wish to
use CEEQUAL for Projects will be arranged as demand grows.
What happens at the Assessor Training Course?
The Assessor Training Course has been designed so that everyone
who completes it successfully will be able to carry out an
assessment. It covers:
- what the CEEQUAL Award Scheme is and why it has been
developed
- the Scheme and process in detail
- use of the CEEQUAL Assessment Manual appropriate to the
course attended
- basic skills required and the role of Assessors, Verifiers
and CEEQUAL Ltd
- key environmental and social issues covered by the Scheme
- detailed study of each of the Manual sections including
the nature of the questions, reasons for their inclusion
and scoping-out advice
- the assessment and verification process and rules.
The extension course for Term Contracts Assessments mentioned
above focuses on the differences between the assessment process
for Projects and those for CEEQUAL Term Contracts, and explains
the Term Contracts assessment process in detail.
